Specific requirements – intelligently solved

Desiro UK trains can be reliably operated throughout the entire network. They run equally well on the electrifi ed lines with 750 V DC or 25 kV AC power supplies as on the non-electrified lines with diesel traction. The graffiti-resistant textured paintwork and easy-to-replace seat upholstery in the interior have also been well thought out. Used in conjunction with pre-tested modules and components, it all adds up to higher availability and ease of maintenance for lower life cycle costs.
