Imu 100 is an information transmission system with a modular design. It is used for transmitting information from the vehicle to the track and from the track to the vehicle. The data is transmitted in the form of telegrams at a speed of 50 kBaud using the time-division multiplex technique.
Telegrams transmitted from the vehicle are received by trackside receiver antennas or loops and then processed by evaluation equipment. Telegrams sent from the Imu 100 trackside equipment are received by the on-board unit via the vehicle antennas.
