The GPE 90 R Speed Checking Facility is the central control unit of a speed checking section for rail vehicles. Its purpose is to check the speed of rail vehicles with the active Indusi train-borne equipment and compare it with the permitted speed at the installation site. If a vehicle exceeds the permitted speed, the Indusi train-borne equipment interacts with it and triggers emergency braking and/or a warning signal.
GPE 90 R is based on the over many years tried-and-tested Indusi principle. Its design is in accordance with the rules of railway signalling and safety engineering and the state of the art. Any fault in the device is detected immediately and cannot endanger staff or material.
