The Digisafe® XME computer safety principle is based on information coding. The advantages of this principle are to reduce the amount of equipment required and to simplify the safety demonstration, which is grounded from mathematical bases and is independent from the computer used.
The computer is SIL 4 (safety integrity level equal to 10-12).
It is better than the 10-11 non-detected failure goal per hour which is required for the most demanding systems.
