The Vicos® S&D information system for service and diagnosis is a user-guided diagnostic system for electronic interlockings and remote control systems from Siemens. It provides specific information about the causes of failures and offers the operator instructions on failure elimination.
The system consists of software components for service and diagnostic functions installed on standard computers used in industry. The service and diagnostic computer has the function of an electronic failure log. The identified and saved failure data is made available to the maintenance team for failure elimination and subsequent archiving.
