In March 2007 Siemens acquired the Danish start-up company pulz8. The company was newly formed in 2003 and is based in Copenhagen.

pulz8 has developed a software technology which allows uninterruptible broadband communication links to be established to fast moving vehicles. The innovative system provides a platform that can integrate the various standard communication technologies, e.g. WLAN.

TS is applying this new software in train control systems in mass transit.
