System integration is an important issue at Siemens Transportation Systems. With our know-how and our many years of experience, we have the interfaces under control – both when using our own resources as when integrating the systems of other manufacturers.
Example of ETCS (European Train Control System):
The standardized train control system ETCS (European Train Control System) facilitates unrestricted and economic rail transport throughout Europe. With the Trainguard® product range, Siemens provides the complete portfolio of standardized ETCS components, which guarantee improved network utilization and higher efficiency. Our customized migration concepts ensure a smooth, step-by-step transition – individually adapted to the needs of the customers. ETCS
Example of the Nuremberg Underground:
The RUBIN project (implementation of an automated underground railway in Nuremberg) is the first migration project worldwide from a conventional underground railway to driverless train operation. Upgrading and/or converting existing systems during continued service furthermore guarantees the operator attractive and fluent train operation.
