The training to be a commercial assistant is divided into theoretical and practical phases each with a duration of approximately two months. These are conducted in alternating blocks with related content.
The theoretical phases are held in Siemens' own Business Administration school in Berlin. The practical phases are conducted at various locations of Siemens Transportation Systems in Germany and Austria.
The requires a high degree of mobility and commitment and demands team skills, independence, and global thinking from the trainees.
The training to become a commercial assistant (Headquarters Apprenticeship) takes two years. Compared with the training for the commercial assistant’s qualification (Link), this puts the extra demand on you that you learn the same material in a shorter time. The training ends with an in-house graduation exam and an oral and written exam by the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry. If you complete the program with a good grade, there is no obstacle to a career at Siemens Transportation Systems. We are proud that all our trainees so far have received an offer to be hired.
Requirements:
- High school diploma equivalent to German "allgemeine Hochschulreife"
- A lot of commitment
- Ability to handle stress
- Flexibility
