Bern Welcome to the capital of Switzerland. With over 50 employees, Bern is Siemens' second largest location in Switzerland. It houses our development center for the Iltis electronic control system. It is also where we process projects for the Simis C and Simis W electronic interlockings as well as for the Iltis control system and special technology.
Being close to the headquarters of the Swiss rail operator SBB, Bern is the ideal location for cooperation with this important customer. At the same time, it is also a perfect base for project work in the west of Switzerland.
Gisikon Welcome to our location at Gisikon in central Switzerland. The town of Gisikon is situated in the Rhone valley and has undergone rapid development in the last 30 years. In terms of surface area, it is the smallest community in the Canton of Lucerne, but has seen a four-fold increase in its population since 1970. Gisikon has a railway station and is close to the highway leading to Lucerne, Zug and Zurich.
At Siemens' location in Gisikon, over 20 employees are engaged in project development for the Simis IS electronic interlocking as well as for relay interlockings and the older ASEGA system. Gisikon is our competence center for barriers.
Vevey Welcome to the Swiss Riviera, our most southerly location in Switzerland. On the shores of Lake Geneva in the French-speaking part of the country, Montreux-Vevey's central location on the major trans-European axes and near Geneva International Airport makes it an easy place to reach. Vevey is our location for relay manufacturing and has a workforce of 20.
