Safety for railways worldwide is the core concern of the Wegberg-Wildenrath Test Center. But it is not our only concern; the profitability of our vehicles is of almost equal importance. Railway operators across the world expect us to supply them with vehicles that function correctly from day one and continue to do so throughout their long service lives. 

Moreover, they demand innovations that have already passed practical tests, as the more complex transportation solutions become, the more important are comprehensive system tests that guarantee the safety and reliability of the vehicles. The Wegberg-Wildenrath Test Center, which has been accredited by the German Federal Railway Office, performs tests on products of Siemens Transportation Systems and external customers, from rolling stock through to the railway infrastructure.

In addition to quality and performance tests, close to 250 highly qualified employees also carry out technical acceptance tests and approvals for the European rail network. In tandem with the technical services, our portfolio is supplemented with services such as the acquisition of operating costs of vehicles and infrastructures under operating conditions, or personnel training measures.
