The Wegberg-Wildenrath Test Center was established on the grounds of the Wegberg RAF military airport and is one of the most successful examples of how former military grounds in Germany have been successfully converted. Today the center accommodates two test circuits and three further test tracks for tests at speeds of up to 160 km/h in standard and meter gauge, which also comprise special sections with tight track radiuses and upward and downward gradients.
