history

Groundbreaking developments
Werner von Siemens started work early on signaling technology for the emerging railway systems. In 1847 he, quite literally, rang in the era of railway signaling technology with the first electromechanical signal bell.

In 1893 Siemens & Halske AG bought a one-third stake in the signaling technology company Max Jüdel & Co of Ackerstraße, Brunswick which was established in 1873.
