With the success of our projects we have achieved a top position within the rail industry, therefore our presence plays a huge role throughout the entire international market. Berlin is therefore strategically an ideal location for Siemens to be based.

Rail Automation and Turnkey Systems
Our primary occupation in Berlin is rail automation, i.e. the development and realization of ever more automated solutions for operational control of railway systems and turnkey systems, i.e. the planning and construction of turnkey railway systems for mass transit and mainline rolling stock worldwide.

Tradition meets innovation
Berlin is Siemens’ traditional location. But the location in the heart of this city has much more in its favor than just tradition. As the Federal capital, Berlin is the political center of our country and an attractive metropolis in every respect.

Progress on a historical foundation
For us everything started with Werner von Siemens in Berlin. Even in the 19th century his pioneering spirit was already pointing the way towards modern, entrepreneurial concepts. In 1879 he presented the first electrical locomotive here.
